Book Cover - Photographic Symbolism

For this project there were two main goals. First, to use photography to create an extraordinary image with an object. Second, to design a book cover where the image functions as a symbol to represent a classic book or play.  My object was an old tea cup and the book I chose is Pride and Prejudice.
Here are two of my favorite images that I captured. Both of them have a different mood.
This is the image I used in my cover
Through a lot of refining and a survey of over twenty people I was able to decide on a book title. I contemplated on The Count of Monte Cristo, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Jane Eyre, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Ultimately, it was Pride and Prejudice that fit the symbolism of my photo the most. When I see this image I can imagine myself having tea with the Bennet sisters. It is also a great symbolism for wealth and pride.
